Join members throughout the community on Saturday November 18 for the dedication of the Lloyd Warner Memorial Marker at the St. Joseph Museums, 3406 Frederick Ave. The Lloyd Warner Community Remembrance Coalition worked for more than 2 years to bring this project to fruition. A member of the Equal Justice Initiative which worked with the Coalition throughout the project will be present at the dedication. Lloyd Warner was lynched in St. Joseph in 1933. Bearing witness to our history of racial terror is an important step in the ongoing struggle for justice and freedom for all. Your presence is a remembrance of the past, and represents a promise of a better future. We hope to see you there.
“As a nation we evolve by contending with the consequences of our decisions to reach that point where the collective mind is not tempted by injustice.” — John Lewis
